The general objective of the project is to research and design new techniques based on deep reinforcement learning and hybrid neuro-symbolic algorithms for customer loyalty in the tourism sector through the recommendation of tailored services, products, and tourist packages. As the main result of the research project, an intelligent tourism platform based on a distributed ledger architecture will be provided to serve the tourism sector, enabling new capabilities for customer loyalty thanks to the recommendation and development of personalized services, products, and tourist packages through data analysis using machine learning and deep learning models. The platform will employ smart contracts in the loyalty process so that customers automatically receive agreed bonuses according to the services acquired, achieving discounts, access to private events, exclusive promotions, or other premium products thanks to customer loyalty.
The LOYALTOUR project has been funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation and the State Research Agency, according to the resolution of September 23, 2019, from the State Secretariat for Research, Development and Innovation and the Presidency of the State Research Agency, approving the early processing call for 2019, for the granting of aid corresponding to the R&D&i Projects “Challenges - Collaboration” call of the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation 2017-2020, with file number RTC2019-007400-7.
